OUR CORE VALUES
IT Power traces its origins to the Intermediate Technology Development Group (ITDG), founded in 1966 by economist and philosopher E. F. Schumacher and his colleagues. ITDG was established on the founder’s philosophy of “Small is Beautiful” and built on the principle of “Intermediate Technology”, promoting solutions that are practical, scalable, environmentally responsible, and tailored to local contexts.
Building on this foundation, IT Power UK emerged in 1981 as a specialised engineering and advisory consultancy focused on renewable energy and sustainable development, eventually growing into a globally recognised network delivering projects across diverse geographies. IT Power India, established in 1997, expanded this legacy into new markets, adapting global expertise to local energy contexts across Asia, Africa, and beyond.
The current operating entity, IT Power Private Limited, established in 2015, continues to carry forward this legacy—combining global experience with a strong local presence to deliver impactful, context-specific solutions that support the evolving needs of the clean energy transition.
